 Assignment grading rubric


Above a five (5) : Extra credit: Above and beyond the assignment. Stated extra facts, added a deeper explanation or example, explained the connections with previous lessons.


Four (4) - All complete. Paper headed properly (Name, title, and date). All work is shown and both the question and the answer are clearly and neatly stated.


Three (3) - Nearly complete. Paper lacks some work but the bulk off the assignment has been addressed.


Two (2) - Only, about, half complete. Not titled properly. The assignment is not neat or legible.


One  (1) - Minimum effort was put forth on the assignment.


Zero (0) - Student was in class but turned in no work. (Please be sure to put your name on your paper as there are always assignments that end up in the ‘no name” file.


NM - “No Mark.”  There are several reasons a student may have a “No Mark.” An “NM” does not raise or lower the overall grade. It’s an excused assignment due to factors such as illness, students was called out of class, absence, or other excused reason.
